Potato Chips (Baked)–Baked Potato Chips

Who does not like potato chips and how about a guilt free one? Make this potato chips and it is not easy to tell that it is baked. Spices are personal choice, but I kept it simple and traditional with salt and red chili powder. Use a v slicer or a mandolin to get paper thin slices.

Ingredients
Potato – 2 medium
Salt – 1/8 tea spoon + ¼ tea spoon
Chili Powder – ¼ tea spoon
Oil – ½ tea spoon + ¼ tea spoon
Cold water – 2 cups
MethodPeel the potato skin and slice them as thin as possible.
Sprinkle 1/8 teaspoon salt and soak in cold water for 10 minutes covered
Drain the water and pat dry with a paper towel or a kitchen towel
Take a Ziploc bag and add ¼ tea spoon salt, chili powder and ½ tea spoon oil
Add the potatoes to the bag and blow the bag and seal it to close
Shake the bag vigorously until all the potatoes are coated with flavor
Add ¼ tea spoon oil and smear to a microwave safe plate
Transfer the potatoes from the bag to the plate arranging them slice by slice
Microwave on power level 7 for 4 minutes
Flip the potatoes and microwave for another 2 minutes and remove the potatoes that are done
For others that need some more cooking, flip again and microwave for 1 minute
Transfer to the serving plate and allow it to cool for 2 – 5 minutes
It will become more crisp after cool
Serve!
