Pan Pizza

Pizza is a very famous Italian dish which has become World famous. There are many types of Pizzas and the choices are plenty. You can make Thin Crust pizzas, thicker crust, stuffed crust, Chicago Style, New York Style etc. Again choice of toppings are also plenty and personal. Make sure to enjoy the pizza hot!! Pan Pizza is a thicker crust pizza. I got this recipe from here. The toppings are a personal choice. I have used tomato sauce, olives, capers, onions and coriander leaves. This will make 1 thick 9 inch pizza.

MethodHeat the milk for 30 seconds in the microwave until its temperature is around 110 degrees F. Add sugar to this milk and the temperature should be between 90 and 105 degrees F.
Dissolve Yeast into the milk. Cover and set aside for 10 minutes or until foamy.
Dissolve milk powder and salt into the yeast mixture.
Pour yeast mixture into All-purpose flour a little at a time to form a soft dough. Knead for 3-4 minutes.
Pour 2 tea spoon Olive Oil onto dough and knead again for 4-5 minutes
Lightly flour a rolling surface and roll out dough into a 10 inch disc.
Coat a 9 inch cake pan with 2 tea spoon Olive Oil and place rolled dough into it, pressing down the sides. Press with the hand to give rough ridges on the Pizza
Cover with a plate or kitchen towel and place the dough to rise in a warm place for 1 hour (warm oven to 150 F/65 C and turn off).
Preheat oven to 400 F
Bake the crust for 5-7 minutes until light golden.
Lightly butter the edges of the crust.
Top with your choice of pizza sauce, cheese and toppings (mozzarella cheese, olives, onion, mushrooms, bell peppers, jalapenos, etc).
Bake at 425F/218C for 7-10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and melted.
Do not add too many toppings as it will not taste good. Limit to 4-5 toppings. Add the coriander leaves after removing the pizza from the oven.
Enjoy the Pizza hot!!!
