MethodCream together butter, sugar, ginger powder and baking powder until creamy.
Add the chopped almonds and flour to the mixture and mix well. It will resemble bread crumbs.
Add milk slowly about 1/2 table spoon at a time and bring the dough together. You may not use the whole milk.
To get a perfect crunch, the dough should be crumbly and when pinched together, it should stay together.
Pinch out small ball out of the dough, roll into a small ball and gently press to make a round biscuit.
You can also place a whole almond in the middle of the biscuit.
Preheat oven to 180C.
Line a baking tray with butter paper.
Place the shaped biscuits on the tray 2cm apart.
Place the tray in the middle rack and bake for 15-20minutes or until golden.
Cool on wire rack and store in airtight jar.
Enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea.
