Neer Moru (நீர் மோர்)

Neer Moru is a very tasty and soothing drink. It is made on Rama Navami which falls on 20.4.2013 this year. It is a quick one and can be done in less than 10 minutes. It tastes best when served cold.. It is very healthy and is a body coolant. It is generally served during summer.

Ingredients
Ginger (grated)  – ½ tea spoon
Cold Water –  cups
Curd – ½ cup
Salt – ½ tea spoon
Curry Leaves – 4
Coriander Leaves – 1 table spoon
Oil – ½ tea spoon
Green Chili – 2
Fenugreek Seeds – ¼ tea spoon
Method
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and once it crackles, add fenugreek seeds, curry leaves and green chili and keep this aside
To a blender, add the curd, water and salt, asafetida and blend it to incorporate them all well
Add to the serving bowl and garnish with the seasonings, ginger and coriander leaves.
Serve!!
