Jam Biscuits - Eggless Jam Biscuits

Jam Biscuits is a interesting biscuit which also has some jam over it. They are very appealing and kid friendly.. It has a great shelf life stored in an airtight container. Kids would love this. I made this with ½ cup sugar and it was less sweet. So I have increased the sugar from ½ cup to 2/3 cup. I used homemade Raspberry jam, but any jam can be used. I bookmarked this from a blog, but now do not know which is it... Sorry:(. I chose this recipe for J - Baked

Ingredients
All-Purpose Flour ¾ cup + little for dusting
Vanilla Custard Powder – ¾ cup
Corn Starch / Corn Flour – 4 table spoon (I used starch)
Butter – ½ cup
Powdered Sugar – 2/3 cup
Vanilla Essence – ½ tea spoon
Curd – 3 table spoons
Jam (your choice) – 2 table spoon
Method
Soften the butter and beat it with sugar and vanilla essence until it becomes creamy and pale.
Mix all the dry ingredients together and add it to the butter mixture along with curd and make it to a stiff dough.
Preheat the oven to 180  degrees C
Add flour to the surface and transfer the dough and roll it with hand by pressing it to 5 mm thickness
Use a cookie cutter to cut desired shape.
Remove the remaining unshaped parts of the dough and roll again and cut again with the cookie. Do this until all the dough is shaped.
Arrange the cut cookies on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil (no need to grease them)
Place the cookies on the tray and make a small dent with the back of a lid, a ¼ tea spoon spoon or your thumb
Fill the dent with jam
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 15 minutes (have an eye from 12 minutes onwards)
Remove from baking tray to the cooling rack and serve warm or on room temperature.
