Have you tried recipes without the utensils required? I have done that done like that many times.. One such example is this Pista Kulfi which I made long before I had owned a Kulfi mold. The recipe here also did not use the mold, but a bowl and then cut the kulfi into few pieces.. Pista Kulfi is an ice cream which can be made without the ice cream maker. Transfer them to small cups and insert wooden sticks into to get the kulfi look. Do not ignore the plastic paper part as it is critical to the recipe. This is a very simple dish which is lesser in fat compared to traditional ice creams. Obviously served frozen!!! This was one of the first ice creams I made.. Surely a delicious and simple one..

A collection of recipes that are tried in my kitchen.. All of them are vegetarian (eggless) and some are vegan recipes!!!

Yogurt Parfait
Y was one letter that finished really late in my planning. It was done only on 25th Sep.. I did this for hubby's birthday and we all enjoyed it a lot.. I made 3 glasses and they looked so picture perfect.. Since I made this for evening, my pictures are not so perfect.. Wish I captured them in the day time.. Thanks to our BM friends on the advise of when to assemble.. This one is all to taste and preference and availability.. Yogurt Parfait is basically a layered desert with yogurt, fruits and nuts.. How many layers, how much quantity depends on you. This quantity made 3 tall servings. This is my choice for Y – International

Kesar Pista Kulfi–My 300th Post
Statistics are fun especially when we see progress.. Here I am with my 300th post which is a delicious and heavenly kulfi.. I love recipes that you can do but need not enjoy it all within a few hours but can stay with you for few weeks.. One such thing are ice creams.. For this month’s SNC started by Divya, When Shruti announced Kulfi for the Southern team, I immediately made it, but have taken so much time to post it.. We enjoyed it on day 1 and some last week when I was so craving for it... I have already tried another version of this kulfi (recipe coming soon) before and this was the second one.. Both were delicious..

Tutti Frutti Ice cream - Eggless Ice cream
I Scream You Scream, We all scream for Ice cream!!! I love this phrase.. So true as far as I am concerned… Ice creams are so common in most parts of the world and each place has its unique flavors and creations. When we were in US, we love the flavors you get there but always missed the delicious and pretty looking tutti frutti ice cream. I was so excited to try it at home the very first time and was very happy with the results. My favorite ice cream flavor made at home.Tutti Frutti Ice cream is a ice cream which is made from the tutti frutti which is a colorful confection containing various chopped and usually candied fruits. It is a very pretty colorful ice cream from its beautiful orange color and the small tutti frutti in it. Very excited to share this for Kid’s delight.

Orange Granita–Ice cream (very low fat)
How about an ice cream without cream and without ice cream maker and with very very less sugar??? Very interesting... Need an ice cream with no cream (or very very less) and with very less sugar – this will be it. Also I tried this ice cream with sugar substitute and it was equally good and you can make this with ingredients that are in most homes. I have served this both as is and also topped it with whip cream. So whip cream is totally optional.. From Wiki – “Granita (in Italian also granita siciliana) is a semi-frozen dessert made from sugar, water and various flavorings. Originally from Sicily, although available all over Italy (but granita in Sicily is somewhat different from the rest of Italy), it is related to sorbet and Italian ice. However, in most of Sicily, it has a coarser, more crystalline texture.”
