Eggless Pinwheel Cookies

I recently joined a new group – Home Bakers Challenge where we get 4 recipes every month to try our hands on and learn new techniques. One of the 4 recipes given for this month’s challenge is a Pinwheel cookie which looks so appealing and kids would just love it.. I have made cookies, but never tried this pinwheel design. The original recipe suggested by Viji was from here and I did make a few changes to ingredients and the method. This will yield approximately 40 – 45 cookies.

Bread Upuma

Breakfast is very important meal and for me I love it to be a savory one vs. a sweet one.. I can enjoy Bread and jam, but would prefer other recipes with breads that are savory.. This bread upuma is a quick and easy breakfast or tiffin item. It is pieces of bread mixed with masala and spices and tastes delicious..The recipe will serve 2. The total time taken for this recipe is under 15 minutes. For this Vegan Thursday, I chose this very versatile bread upuma.

So excited to be part of the SNC group which is created by Divya. Idea here is the group is divided into 2 and then each group challenges the other group with a recipe. Now from the Southern team, it is my turn this month to challenge my friends from the North team.

Vendayakeerai Parupu Urundai Mor Kuzhambu – This is a very flavorful and authentic preparation and tastes best when served HOT!!!

I have given the translation in English / Hindi for most of the ingredients. So the name means – Vendayakeerai is Methi / Fenugreek leaves, Parupu means Dal / Lentil, urundai means round or balls and Morkuzhambu is a gravy made with curd. Please email me at nivedhanams@gmail.com if you have any questions…
