Healthy Foods for Healthy Kids (HFHK)–Roundup and Winners!!

Thanks to all who sent delicious entries to my guest host event – Healthy Foods for Healthy Kids – Italian Dishes. Thanks to Nithu who is the brain behind this event. Eggless Tiramisu

Tiramisu is an Italian delicacy and tastes best when served cool. I have made a few changes to the original Tiramisu recipe based on our taste and preference. I have substituted Sponge cake sheets for lady fingers or savoriadi cookies; grape juice for rum or brandy; homemade substitute for mascarpone cheese. It tastes very heavenly and needs to be refrigerated at least 8 hours before serving. I am very happy that Gayathri took my suggestion for this month’s Eggless Baking Group.

WTML–Walk Through Memory Lane – With Giveaway

Lot of us do and post recipes that we learned from somebody (mostly mom) and these dishes have a nice memory to them. What a great way to have a collection of such recipes which are not just ingredients and method but have a beautiful memory attached to it. Mysore Rasam (மைசூர் ரசம்)

Mysore rasam is an interesting variation of rasam. This one has a grinded mixture added to it which makes it taste very interesting and the aroma is very good. Method is actually a mixture of sambar and rasam!!!
