Some snacks are so tempting that you can be munching on them for ever and do it watching a TV, you do not realize that you can finish a big bowl in no time.. There are so many flavored nuts that are readily available in the market. They are also good to keep munching on... But when I tried them at home, it was even more delicious and more flavorful… I bookmarked it from here and it has become a big hit in our house. Try it and am sure you will enjoy it too!!
IngredientsWhole Cashews – 2 cups
Salt – ½ tea spoon
Brown Sugar + white sugar – ¼ cup (I had all brown sugar with just a tea spoon of white sugar)
Honey – 2 table spoons
Water – 2 table spoons
Vanilla – 1 tea spoon
Oil – 2 tea spoons
Method
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C and bake the cashews on single layer for 12 – 15 minutes until well roasted. Mine took 14 minutes.. No need to grease the pan.. Alternately you can also roast the cashews on the stove until golden.
Mix together sugar and salt and set aside
In a medium pan, mix honey, water and oil and bring it to a boil.. Add the vanilla
Add the roasted cashews and mix well until the cashews are well coated with the honey and oil mixture
Once all the liquid is absorbed, sprinkle the sugar salt mixture and toss it well
Transfer to a parchment / wax paper lined tray and allow it to cool..
