Wanna to make something different with the same idli? Here is one!!! Love the idea of multi colored and flavored idli. I have so far tried couple of them and actually liked them all.. This is my kid's favorite out of the other cocktail idlis I have made as she loves Lemon flavor..
Ingredients
Mini Idli - 12
Lemon Juice - from one lemon
Curry Leaves - 5
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tea spoon
Asafetida - A pinch
Salt - A pinch
Ginger - 1/4 tea spoon (grated)
Green Chili - 1 (slit cut and remove some seeds)
Gingelly Oil - 1 table spoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tea spoon
Method
Make the idlis and set aside to cool
In a pan, add oil and crackle the mustard seeds. Now add all the ingredients except idli and lemon juice
Saute for 30 seconds and now reduce the heat to sim and add the idli and mix to ensure the idlis are well coated
Remove from heat and add lemon juice and mix well once again
Serve hot!!
