For this week BM we are going to be seeing desserts in different forms and the first one I have chosen is Truffles. Truffles - the word makes us drool.. Truffles are traditionally made with chocolate ganache and rolled in sugar or cocoa powder or nuts. I started with this recipe, but made some changes. Check out my regular Chocolate Truffles here. Today for a change I am using Nutella and also adding corn flakes and nuts.
Ingredients
Nutella - 1/4 cup
Biscuits of choice - 5 - 6
Nuts of choice - 10
Corn Flakes - 1/2 cup
Cocoa Powder / Nuts - for rolling
Butter / Oil - 1 tea spoon
Method
Crush the biscuits and set aside. Smaller the better, but do not make them into powder..
Do the same for the nuts and corn flakes also
Heat the nutella and butter in the microwave for 30 seconds. Mix it once and reheat again for another 30 seconds.
You will need to do the above step for 1 or 2 more times until it is well melted and is homogenous.
Add all the other ingredients except the cocoa powder / nuts which is kept for rolling
Allow the mixture to cool down
Arrange a tray with butter paper
Make desired sized balls (about 1 inch is the size I preferred) and roll them over the cocoa powder or nuts
Arrange them on the prepared tray
Refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours and serve and enjoy this delicious and simple delicacy.
