Some goodies are so sinfully delicious!!! Yes this is one of them!! So butter, so much sugar, but so irresistible!! Love this crunchy and delicious sugar cookies which are so easy to make and also looks so beautiful… It was my choice from the cookies that Priya gave us for this month’s HBC. The original recipe had eggs and I replaced it with Flax seed
Ingredients
Butter - 1/2 cup
White Sugar - 1/2 cup
Flax Seeds Powder - 1 table spoon
Warm Water - 3 table spoons
Vanilla - 1/2 tea spoon
All Purpose Flour - 1 1/2 cups
Baking Powder - 1 tea spoon
Salt - 1/2 tea spoon
Milk - to brush
Colored Sugar / Sprinkles - For decoration
Method
Beat together flax seed powder and warm water until it is gooey and set aside
Cream the butter and sugar well. Add the flax seed mixture, vanilla and beat it all well
Sieve all purpose flour, salt, baking powder well
Add the butter mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until it forms a dough.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in fridge for 3 to 4 hours
Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness and cut into desired shapes or with a knife
Line the baking tray with parchment paper and set aside
Arrange the cookies on the prepared baking tray
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C
Brush the cookies with milk and sprinkle the colored sugar or with sprinkles
Bake it in the preheated oven for 12 - 15 minutes until the corners are lightly colored
Remove the cookies from the oven and allow it to cool on a cooling rack completely
Enjoy!!
