Here comes another delight food with Almonds and am happy to share this for the BM – kid’s delight. This snack is unbelievably simple and tastes awesome.. I did not do justice to the photos, but can promise you that this tasted out of the world.. I got this recipe from here and this is surely a keeper.
Ingredients
Whole Almonds – 2 cups
Salt – ½ tea spoon
Brown Sugar + white sugar – ¼ cup (I added mostly brown sugar with just a tea spoon of white sugar)
Honey – 2 table spoons
Water – 2 table spoons
Vanilla – 1 tea spoon
Oil – 2 tea spoons
Method
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and bake the almonds on single layer for 12 – 15 minutes until well roasted. Mine took 14 minutes.. No need to grease the pan.. Alternately you could also dry roast the almonds on stove top until well roasted
Mix together sugar and salt and set aside
In a medium pan, mix honey, water and oil and bring it to a boil.. Add the vanilla
Add the roasted almonds and mix well until the almonds are well coated with the honey and oil mixture
Once all the liquid is absorbed, sprinkle the sugar salt mixture and toss it well
Transfer to a parchment / wax paper lined tray and allow it to cool..
