Whenever I am visiting a bakery, I love to see the variety of stuff on display - just looks beautiful... But I am so attracted to the buns and rolls there.. Their aroma and flavor (if freshly made) is so wonderful... It almost takes one to a dream land.. And to replicate them at home is even more heavenly.. I got this recipe from here and we loved it.. So flavorful and whole house was filled with great aroma and flavors..
A collection of recipes that are tried in my kitchen.. All of them are vegetarian (eggless) and some are vegan recipes!!!

Ao you love to eat fries - yeah me too:) and a lot of times I feel guilty for its calories and I was so excited when I saw this low fat version which is baked and not fried and I wanted to try it out.. Oh that was very addictive and so delicious... You can enjoy it with some ranch sauce or ketchup and not feel guilty also!!! Also the masalas and spices are as per choice. You can check out my Sweet Potato Fries here. Here is another savory bake for BM, also a Vegan recipe for the Vegan Thursdays!!

Savory Kugelhopf – Vegetarian and Eggless
I loved the option of Savory Bakes and could not pass this option when Valli gave it as one of them for BM themes. I love home made bread just for the fresh taste and flavor.. The whole house is filled with the fresh baked aroma!!! Love this… When Aparna announced the Savory yeasted bread for this month’s We Knead to Bake, I was so tempted to try it as soon as possible.. I loved the spicy and spongy bread. From Wiki – “A Gugelhupf or Gugelhopf is a southern German, Austrian, Swiss and Alsatian term for a marble cake or Bundt cake. It is baked in a special circular pan with a central tube, originally made of enamelled pottery.” This is the savory version which can be served as a snack or for breakfast. The original savory Kugelhopf has meat and eggs in it and this one is vegetarian and eggless. I made this in a 9” cake pan with a tumbler in between to create the hole in between or to simulate a bundt pan.

Moong Dal Fry
Moong Dal Fry is an easy snack that tastes best when served in room temperature. It can be stored in an airtight container for a week. This is one of the recipes that I made on a guess and it was wonderful. Adjust salt and chili powder to taste. Also ensure that excess oil is removed for it to taste good.
