Ellu Podi is a very flavorful and tasty podi..
Ingredients
White Sesame Seeds – 1 cup
Salt – 1 tea spoon
Asafetida – ¼ tea spoon
Red Chili – 10
Whole Black Pepper – 1 table spoon
Ulutham Parupu – ¼ cup
Kadalai Parupu – ¼ cup
Method
Wash and dry the sesame on a cloth or paper towel for 30 minutes to make it dry to touch
Dry roast the ingredients separately and grind into a coarse powder

ReplyDeleteGreat going back to hostel food! This is my favorite, particularly the sweet version, and I used to make it every week! But my daughter has severe allergy to sesame seeds so I do not keep them at home anymore :(
