Guacamole is a very easy Mexican dish which tastes best when served cold. It is served as a side to the chips, served as a part of the Mexican platter, sometimes served inside Burrito!! Basically it is everywhere in Mexican Cuisine. It is so interesting that it hardly takes any time, no cooking to do, but you have a great and tasty and healthy dish!! A dish that one cannot miss when talking about Mexican cuisine and I am including this for this month’s BM – Mexican Cuisine
Ingredients
Red Onion (chopped fine) – ¼ cup
Garlic (minced) – 3 cloves
Coriander Leaves – ¼ cup
Cumin Powder – ¼ tea spoon
Green Chili Paste – ½ tea spoon (can used finely minced)
Salt – ½ tea spoon
Tomato (chopped) – 2 table spoons
Lime Juice – 2 table spoons
Avocado – 1
Method
Scoop the avocado to a bowl and add lime juice
Add minced garlic, green chili and salt. Mash this all with a potato masher or with a fork until everything is well combined, mashed but still small chunky pieces are there.
Add the onions, tomato, cumin powder and half of the coriander leaves and mix well
Garnish with the remaining coriander leaves and refrigerate until serving time. Ideally refrigerate for an hour before serving.
