Paal Ravai Halwa ( பால் ரவை ஹல்வா)

How many ever sweets we make for celebrations, it is always fun to do more and more.. Sweets bring celebrations and festivity!! Some sweets are quick, while some are elaborate.. Paal ravai halwa is a quick and easy sweet with 3 main ingredients – Paal (milk), Ravai (Sooji) and Sugar. This resembles like rava kesari, but tastes more richer and more delicious!!!

Ravai / Sooji – ¼ cup
Milk – 1 cup
Sugar – ½ cup
Cardamom powder – ¼ tea spoon
Edible Camphor – A pinch
Salt – A pinch
Ghee – 2 table spoons + 1 tea spoon
Cashew – 6
Raisins - 4

MethodDry roast the ravai until color changes to light golden and a nice aroma comes
Heat milk, roasted ravai, sugar and 2 table spoons ghee in a pan and mix well
Stir occasionally until it starts to thicken a little
Grease a plate with ghee and set aside
Now stir continuously until it leaves the sides and now add cardamom powder and edible camphor and transfer to the greased plate.
Heat a small pan and add 1 tea spoon ghee and add cashew and once it turns golden, add raisins and sauté for 10 seconds and transfer to the halwa for garnish
Paal ravai halwa is now ready to be served!!!
