Flavored oils are so much handy to have on hand and it is the best way to induce flavor and aroma into a dish. I made this flavored oil long ago (when I made my Focaccia Caprese). It is quite simple to do and can be stored for at least 15 - 20 days.
Ingredients
Olive Oil - 1/4 cup
Italian Seasoning - 2 tea spoons
Fresh Basil - 1 table spoon (mash with the fingers)
Red Chili Flakes - 1/4 tea spoon
Salt - 1/4 tea spoon
Garlic Paste - 1 tea spoon
Method
Make thin strips of the fresh basil leaves.
Crush it with your hands and put it in the oil
Add all the other ingredients for the herbed oil to the oil and mix well and set aside until use.
Mix all the ingredients well and set aside for at least an hour.. It is actually best after a day.
