A very fascinating name was which that attracted me to this dish while I was watching a TV show.. I noted down the recipe and made it.. We loved the flavor and I served this with roti..
Ingredients
Paneer – ¼ kg
Onion – 2 cups (big cubed)
Green Chili – 2
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 table spoons
Cashew – 10 grams
Turmeric – 1 tea spoon
Coriander Powder – 2 tea spoon
Garam Masala – 1 tea spoon
Red Chili Powder – ½ tea spoon
Pepper Powder – 1 tea spoon
Curd – ½ cup
Salt –
Fresh Cream / Milk – 1 cup
Cardamom, cloves, cumin, cinnamon
Oil
Pudhina, kasoori methi
Method
Saute the onion in oil + little ghee until transparent
Add green chili, ginger garlic paste.. big lime size ginger, 10 cloves of garlic and sauté for a minute and remove from heat
Transfer to cool and grind to a coarse paste..
Grind cashew to a paste and set aside
Heat a pan with oil and little ghee and add cumin, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaves and cardamom
Add the grinded paste..
Once color changes, add the dry powders one by one except garam masala and sauté well
Add cashew paste…
Add curd and salt and cook until oil separates
Add water, paneer, kasoori methi
Add garam masala, milk
Garnish with mint and coriander
Serve hot!!!
